The blade core doesn't reach full hardness, but it is still tough enough to withstand a lot of impact.
Despite the above-average-grade steel, you should never use a knife that has a lower-quality material. High-quality steels will provide a higher degree of corrosion and wear resistance, but they won't last as long. Using lower-quality steels won't help you get a competitive edge over the competition. If you're looking for a better grade of steel, try M4 or a similar alloy.
